text: (9) Kokngai. March 15th
text: Not a bad basha, but the Khullakpa was a sullen old pock-marked bird. Steep, hot march. Coolies overshot mark and went adrift. Saw girl from Somra wearing huge crystal disc earrings, the weight taken by a strip of cotton threads across her head. She also had silver armlets, very massive, and a fine white bead necklace of 8 or 10 strings. Could not get a photo, as they all bolted.
text: Got the Wombat to make venison stew.
text: Recipe
text: Dice venison. Stew slowly for 2 hours, or 1.5 will do. Add large teaspoonful Marmite to gravy 1/2 hour before serving, add contents of 1 tin mushrooms, preferably the kind with gravy, and vegetables, sliced or diced. Cook 1/2 hour, serve.
text: Wombat's venison damn good.
