blacksmith's daughter, Kapuni, recovers then ill again |
text: |
Kapuni reported in pain again, so went down and put Antiphlogistine on both thighs. Appeared to be successful. At 11a.m. I called on way to Khunao & Xtian and found her sitting out in the sun. Gave out more sodium salicylate, reducing doses slightly. One baby in Khunao O.K., the diarrhoea one still bad, though better. Sepsis case said she was all right. Certainly much improved. Dyspepsia case pretty seedy. Gave more bicarb. |

Called on Kapuni on return, found her still not well. Another attack. She was lying down, trying to sleep. Don't know what to give. Have handed over all Phensic, as it eases the occasional fever (fever to-day early, none after 11. after Antiphl. & Phensic) and appears to relieve pain. |
