text: Re. arrest of Jadonang (extract from letter, author not known)
text: A long procession of Kabuis and strange Haos(?) - men and women went to the temple of Bhuboneshwar in Cachar. The procession was led by an old Kabui who was called their "lai" (god) and who led the procession on a pony. They took some goats that were killed near the temple of Bhuboneshwar and the tunnel. A Manipuri Brahman is in charge of the temple. Now the temple is defiled and nobody goes there.
text: On their return journey the procession was stopped at Kakhipur and the leader (Jadonang) arrested. His followers made a fuss about it. The people there got panic-stricken and so on. 28/2/31.
