Got up early and went up to mark. Disappointed at finding the weather as hazy as yesterdays. Saw Ogle's camp moving off from river. I took some observations. Saw Hinde and Ogle on way beneath me and came back 11.30. Breakfast. As we were finishing they came in. Worked on P. Table. Got heliotropes dodged up out of looking glasses and talked. Arranged about [] etc. Nothing of importance. (in pencil: Leech? found in firewood. Head drake green above, grey below - body reddish orange - black stripe - body broad and flat 4 inches long. in margin: 'No a slug' J.H.H.) |
