Got up very early. Went up to village. Detained there some little time owing to difficulty in finding guides and roads, as the guides seemed to insist that we wanted to go to Longsa. At last got the old red coated white pot hatted fellow to show us the way till the road branched off to Longmisa. A good road all the way comparatively though through jungle at times. Stopped in pleasant timber for breakfast at 11.30. After a sick Khasia was missing but was at last found in the jungle about half a mile from our halt. He had left the line of march to cut a stick apparently and got convulsions. Gave him some broth and had him carried. Found a pleasant little camping ground with a good stream through it and good thatching grass. Shaded up plane tabling a little. |
