text: [8] 8th September. Left Seebsagor about 2 p.m. in the "Madras" who was fortunately just returning from her last trip up to Nazirah.
text: 9th September. Reached Nigriting about 5 p.m. and put up for the night with Mr. Stocks.
text: 10th September. Rode into Golaghat.
text: 11th to 17th September. Occupied in reading up and making notes from the old Golaghat records and in giving out advances and engaging coolies for the cold weather work along the road to Samaguting as well as at the station itself.
text: 18th September. Put the first batch of coolies on to the road.
text: 19th to 27th September. Occupied in superintending the repairs to the road between Golaghat and Borpothar.
text: 28th September. Marched into Borpothar.
text: 29th September to 3rd October. Occupied in looking after the coolies working on the road between the Nambor and the Deopani.
