text: 20th February, Tuesday. Was out all day with the coolies who worked right well and I am glad to say we are getting on famously.
text: 21st February, Wednesday. Having first set the coolies on to their work, I rode into Samaguting this morning and after breakfasting there with James and getting through some office work, returned to camp in the evening.
text: [12] 22nd February, Thursday. Out with the coolies until 2 p.m. when I returned to camp, breakfasted and went on down to the Diphupani Guard House to give orders regarding the despatch of stores, etc. which I had heard in the morning had just arrived, and which I was in great want of! After this I inspected a new tracing I was having cut to shorten the road to the station and then returned to camp a little after sunset.
