text: 6th March, Wednesday. Moved camp into Tophemah - distance about 9 miles over a good road all the way. Enroute we again passed through Themoketsama. Tophema strange to say is occupied by two entirely distinct tribes, half the village being Tengimah and the other half Sema, both being together apparently at perfect peace although differing in speech, dress and custom. Tophema contains 198 houses divided as follows:-
