text: 5th March. Received a telegram from the Commissioner telling me that the contents of my telegram had been forwarded on to the Lieutenant Governor with a request that orders may be communicated direct to me, so I suppose I shall get definite instructions within the next few days.
text: 6th March. Received another dak from Samaguting and was glad to learn that everything was going on satisfactorily.
text: 7th March. Received another telegram from the Commissioner telling me to remain quiet where I was until I received the further orders of Government, which is of course exactly what I have been doing all along since the despatch of my first telegram.
