text: 28th March. Halted at Phungam on account of the exigencies of the survey. Thomson rejoined us about 8 a.m. and shortly I was not a little amused by one of the Naga Dobashas in Manipuri pay telling me first that the Manipuries had placed sepoys in Paowi for the first time 10 months ago and afterwards that they had done so 10 years ago.
text: About 10 a.m. I started off with Austin and visited the summit of Rafifo, a mountain close above the village, and after putting up a mark there went along the crest towards the west from whence we saw and recognized several of the villages and peaks we had seen from Shipvomah.
