34. There is a similar claim made by the Borduarias against the Bormithan Nagas, and a feud accordingly exists also between these tribes. An attack was made in December last by the Borduarias on the village of Bormithan, which resulted in the death of one man, one woman, two girls and a boy. The attack was made at daybreak, before the inhabitants were prepared, and the Bormithan people, having collected, opposed the Borduarias, who retired with some spoil, leaving five of their number dead on the line of retreat. |
