text: Education still fails to make any substantial progress. The Kohima Mission school has 12 scholars, the Barpathar Vernacular School is stationary with an attendance of 26, and the Khonoma school was closed in July 1884. A school has been opened at Dimapur by private enterprise and it is proposed to start an English school at Kohima.
