text: 35. The Eastern Angamis gave no trouble whatever during the year. Their country was visited by the Assistant-Commissioner, Mr. Davis, in April 1887 with a small force of 20 men. He was cordially received everywhere and succeeded in settling amicably a number of inter-village disputes. A complaint was received during the rains against Chitsama, a Manipuri Naga village, from one of the Eastern Angami villages named Lozaphehoma. The matter was referred to the Manipur Darbar and was satisfactorily arranged.
