33. The Eastern Angamis gave no trouble during the year and no murders or raids committed by or upon any of the Eastern Angami villages were reported. The Deputy-Commissioner was unable to tour through this part of the country, but the Assistant-Commissioner, Mr. Davis, visited nearly all the villages in April and disposed of numerous quasi-civil cases which he found calling for decision. The Eastern Angamis generally show an increasing disposition to refer cases of all sorts to the Deputy-Commissioner at Kohima for orders. |
