text: No attacks on any of our frontier villages have been made by these tribes during the year. Our relations with Noksen and Litam continued to be friendly. The villages have, however, begun fighting amongst themselves. Yampi has been twice attacked by a combination of Mazung villages. On both occasions the attack was beaten off. On the second occasion a man of Sasa was killed and his head taken by the Yampi men. Again, quite recently, Nokchung (Mazung) is reported to have made a raid on Wanak and taken three heads from that village.
text: Such incidents as these are but the beginning of troubles across the Dikhu. They are extremely regretable as they undoubtedly tend to unsettle our frontier villages and give a feeling of insecurity to traders and others using the much-frequented but extremely exposed road between Mongsemdi and Tamlu.
