text: 24. The boundaries of the Sema political control area remained the same as in previous years. During the year the Deputy Commissioner made two tours through this area - one in December 1893 and one in March 1894. The whole of the Semas are now completely under control and there would not be the slightest difficulty in raising revenue from them tomorrow. An excellent bridle-path has been completed for some 70 miles through this area. There were no serious cases of any kind during the year in this area. Most of the neighbouring villages outside British control are extremely friendly and during his last tour, the Deputy Commissioner passed through some of them and received a hearty welcome. In the Tita valley head-taking still goes on and will continued to do so until we take over that side into the political area. Small-pox was very bad during the year and hundreds died from it.
