text: 27. The general conduct of the Nagas was good during the year. There was an increase in the number of robberies on the road between Kohima and Nichuguard, but it is doubtful whether this can be entirely attributed to the Nagas as the construction of the cart road has caused a great influx of foreigners of all sorts into the Naga Hills and it may be presumed that many of these robberies were committed by them.
text: A riot occurred between two khels of the Angami village of Phesama, one man was killed and many others were wounded, but not seriously; spears and daos were not used during the riot, only sticks and stones.
