text: In the previous year there were 1,128 licenses issued, and out of this number, 122 remained unrenewed at the end of 1894. There were 61 new licenses issued during the year. A register was opened, and passes were issued to holders of guns in the political control area. During the year heavy fines were inflicted on persons failing to renew their licenses, and next year all persons failing to renew within a reasonable time will have their guns confiscated. There were 35 cases under the Arms Act against 64 cases in the previous year.
