58. The conduct of theses tribes calls for no comment as they did not molest us in any way. Many of the headmen of villages came into Mokokchang from time to time to pay their respects to the Subdivisional Officer and to ask for his assistance in various matters. The Deputy Commissioner reports that a certain number of trans-Dikhu Nagas have settled down quietly in this subdivision but that there is no cessation of inter-tribal raids and head-taking amongst the villages beyond our frontier. |
