text: | 19. A column was despatched to the Lapvomi-Shiloi area in April-May 1918 to prevent Kukis obtaining a foothold in the Lanier Valley, and outposts were established there. A bridle path from Phekrokejuma to Karami was completed, In spite of influenza, which caused high mortality, 2,000 coolies were furnished for the Kuki operations. |
