15. All Cis-Patkoi villages were visited and a tour made across the Patkoi among the Rangpang Nagas at the close of the year. Part of the Rangpang Naga area was visited by the Political Officer, Sadiya Frontier Tracts, and Mr J.T.O. Barnard of the Burma Frontier Commission and at two Darbars 34 villages agreed to abandon the practice of human sacrifice. The conduct of the Sarkari Nagas in the Lakhimpur Frontier Tract and of the Barduaria, Namsangia and Barmithuniya Nagas continued satisfactory. |
