The Majum outpost of Assam Rifles close to the Patkoi Ridge was temporarily established during the cold weather to co-operate with the Government of Burma in connection with an expedition for the abolition of human sacrifice in the unadministered Rangpang Naga area. Large numbers of Trans-Patkoi and Cis-Patkoi Nagas came down during the year. A start was made on the alignment and improvement of paths and on bridges on the main Assam Hukawng track. The behavours of the Sarkari Nagas in the Lakhimpur Frontier Tract was good. Two thefts of rails and tools from the Tipongpani colliery were reported during the year. The conduct of the Barduaria, Namsangiya and Barmithunia Nagas continued satisfactory.
