The Konyaks were restless throughout the year. Several Konyak villages disobeyed the orders of Government prohibiting the use of guns in tribal warfare. Orders fining certain villages 300 guns were announced at a Darbar held by His Excellency the Governor in person. The guns were duly surrendered by the villages concerned. |
