text: Each of the morungs corresponded to one ward, and in Konyak usage the morung names applied both to the actual men's houses and to the wards of which they were the focal points. Not only men but women as well spoke of belonging to such-and-such a morung, and there was no other term for the divisions of a village which in anthropological usage are described as wards.
