31.12.1629 I made my brother Thos Harlakenden a lease of all his tithes in Earls Colne belonging to the rectory for forty years from michaelmas last reserving 6d rent at the feast of christide if demanded in consideration that he released all his right in the Little Lodge and in the manor of Earls Colne by my fathers last will I made him likewise a bargain and seal of Hansers Hedge for the rent of 20d per annum being the ancient rent of the herbage by copy I made him likewise a general release of all accounts etc the same day he released unto me all his right title and interest in the Little Lodge and Colne Park by virtue of my fathers will and a general release he sealed a counterpart of the lease of the tithes but none of Hansers Hedge which I should have
