it appears to the homage that Wm Catte who held to himself and his heirs of the lord by the rod etc one parcel of land now built on and one parcel of customary land in length 6rod and in breadth at one head 3rod and at the other head 3rod lying between the eavesdrop of a house held by the Earl of Oxford on the one part and a certain way leading to the tenement of Rich Bonner called Simondes on the other and one head thereof abuts on the king's highway and the other head on lands of the said Rich Bonner called Simmondes as is shown by the meets and bounds etc for has many years has been dead sole seised of the premises in his demesne as of fee and that Edw Catte of full age is son and heir of the foresaid Wm and has right to the premises aforesaid with the appurtenances who the said Edw now present in court petitions of the lord admittance to the premises with appurtenances to himself and his heirs to whom the lord by the steward granted seisin to the said Edw Catte his heirs and assigns to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor of aforesaid by rents and services before owed and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as appears at the top and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
