whereas at a court here held saturday being 2.4.1608 Jn Midleton junior was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to the remainder of certain lands called Millefielde as by a roll of the said court here in this full court it is shown now at this court it is shown by the homage that the aforesaid Jn Midleton junior out of this court and after the last court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Robt Cobbe instead of the bailiff in the presence of Thos Smithe and Jas Pennock customary tenants of this manor the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor a certain parcel of the aforesaid lands called Millefield containing by estimation 1a3r lying between a certain parcel of land also called Millefield now in the tenure of Wm Midleton towards the north west and containing there in length 30rod and a half and the other parcel of land called also Millefield now in the tenure of the aforesaid Jn Midleton towards the south east and containing in length 32rod and three quarter one head thereof abutting upon the meadow called Berthall Meade towards the south west and the other head thereof abutting upon the remainder of the said parcel of land as it is divided and shown by the metes and bounds to the use and behoof of the aforesaid Wm Midleton and Joan his wife and their heirs who present in court sought from the lord admittance thereof for himself to whom the lord by his aforesaid steward granted thereof seisin to have to the same said Wm and Joan and their heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
