whereas at a court here held saturday being 2.4.1608 Jn Jollie was admitted tenant of the lord for the term of his life the remainder to Robt Jollie and Wm Jollie equally between them and the heirs of their bodies legitimately procreated forever to one enclosed field called Little Sandehill containing by estimation 13a of land lying between lands called Great Sandhill on one part and the king's highway leading from Earls Colne towards Coggeshall on the other part as by a roll of the same said court here in court clearly shown now at this court it is shown by the homage that the aforesaid Jn Jollie after the last court died of such estate seised of his premises and also that the aforesaid Robt Jollie also died before this court without heirs of his body legitimately procreated and that the aforesaid Wm Jollie is dead and that the heir of his body is a certain Rich Jollie who came to this court and sought for himself admittance thereof to whom the lord by his aforesaid steward granted thereof seisin to have to the same said Rich Jollie and the heirs of his body legitimately procreated the remainder thereof further as it is shown in the aforesaid court roll to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin fealty however was respited and he was admitted thereof tenant of the lord but because the aforesaid Rich Jollie is under age and cannot pay to the lord his fine as it is owed and the aforesaid rents and other services and customs as by right he should therefore custody of the body of the aforesaid Rich and the premises both by the choice of the aforesaid Rich and by the consent of Wm Langeforde is to be committed to Thos Harlakenden gentleman until the feast of michaelmas which shall be in 29.9.1614 to take all profits rents and reversions of the aforesaid lands with appurtenances and to convert the same to his proper use for and in consideration that the said Thos Harlakinden for his assumption should pay the said fine for admission of the said Rich and all arrears of rent thereunto belonging and being unpaid and also should pay 5li of legal english money to the same said Wm Jollie son of the aforesaid Jn Jollie now deceased on behalf of a debt of Rich Jollie himself by order of this court and by the consent of Rich himself and the aforesaid Thos Harlakinden gave to the lord for a fine for such custody as is shown in the margin
