whereas at a court here held tuesday being 30.9.1606 Jn Browne was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to one croft of land lying below the park now built on parcel of a tenement sometime Parker's whereof one head abuts upon the land of the lord of this manor called Carters Croft and the other head thereof abutting upon a lane leading from the king's highway towards Smitheyfield as by a roll of that court here in this full court it is shown now it is shown by the homage that the aforesaid Jn Browne out of this court and after the last court surrendered the aforesaid croft with appurtenances into the hands of the lord by the hands of Robt Cobbe instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Rich Parker senior and Jas Pennock customary tenants of this manor the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor to the use and behoof of Rich Parker junior and his heirs who present in court sought for himself admittance thereof to whom the lord by his aforesaid steward granted thereof seisin to have to the same Rich Parker junior and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine etc and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
