and also at this court it was presented by the homage that Rich Jollie customary tenant of this same manor after the last court and before this court surrendered into the hands of the lord of the aforesaid manor by the hands of Thos Danett instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Pierson and Jn Parker two customary tenants of this same manor the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor all that tenement lately built and lands with appurtenances pertaining to the same commonly called Little Sandhills containing by estimation 20a of land held by copy of a roll of this court to the use and behoof of Hen Clenche of Colchester and Jane now his wife and the heirs of their bodies legitimately procreated or to be procreated and in default of such heirs the remainder thereof to the next heir of Hen himself forever upon which to this court came both the aforesaid Hen Clench and the aforesaid Jane and humbly sought from the lord admittance to the aforesaid premises according to the tenor and effect of the aforesaid surrender to whom the lord of the aforesaid manor by his aforesaid steward granted to them seisin thereof to hold the aforesaid premises with appurtenances to them the aforesaid Hen Clench and Jane and the heirs of their bodies legitimately procreated or to be procreated the remainder thereof as stated above from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine and the aforesaid Hen Clench made fealty and they were admitted thereof tenants of the lord
