whereas at a view with court here held saturday being 8.10.1608 Rich Heyward was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs by the surrender of Jn Nicholson to all his remainder of and in one messuage or tenement with appurtenances called Gurneys and Gurneys Fen and of and in a parcel of land called Mellfeilde as by copy of a roll of that same court here in court produced and it is clearly shown now at this court it is presented by the homage that the aforesaid Rich Haywarde after the last court and before this court died seised of the premises and that Barth Hayward is his son and next heir who present here in court sought admittance to the premises to whom the lord by his aforesaid steward granted thereof seisin to him to have to him and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin and made fealty to the lord and was admitted thereof tenant
