and furthermore it is shown by the homage that after the last court and before this court viz 12.3.1632 Jeff Potter of Manningtree Essex woollen draper surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Geo Turnor instead of the bailiff in the presence of Thos Leppingwell and Jn Potter two customary tenants of the aforesaid manor the same testifying according to the custom of the aforesaid manor all those his customary lands lying in White Colne in the tenure of the said Thos Leppingwell containing by estimation 18a more or less known by the name of The Great Reading and one other piece of meadow containing by estimation 3r more or less lying in the aforesaid White Colne within Langstarr Meadow Gate and the said parcel of meadow in the tenure of the said Thos Leppingwell to the use and intention of his last will and testament in writing under his hand and signature and bearing the date of the day and year of this surrender
