herself solely and secretly examined by the steward of the court as is the custom surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his steward three crofts of land with appurtenances called
Gosfenn
or by whatever other names they are called containing by estimation 7a of land with appurtenances as it was then divided from the rest of the said
Gosfenn
to the use and behoof of
Wm Brand
yeoman his heirs and assigns upon the condition that if the aforesaid
Wm Greene
and
Helen
his wife or either of them their heirs of administrators should pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid
Wm Brand
or his assigns 50li of legal money of England in or upon
13.10.1642
that then the aforesaid surrender should be void as by a roll of the aforesaid court it appears now to this court came the aforesaid
Wm Brand
and gave the court intelligence and information that the aforesaid 50li or any part thereof was not paid according to the aforesaid condition and at this time is still unpaid and upon this he humbly sought admittance to the aforesaid premises to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid croft of land with appurtenances to the aforesaid

his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine and made fealty |
