to this court came Thos Harlakenden senior gentleman and produced here in court a writing releasing to him by Thos Harlakenden junior his son and heir apparent and sought that if should be enrolled in the rolls of this court the tenor of which in these following English words memo that I Thos Harlakenden of Earls Colne the younger gentleman for divers good considerations me moving have remised released and quitclaimed and for me and my heirs do release remise and quitclaim to my father Thos Harlakenden of Earls Colne aforesaid gentleman in full possession being and to his heirs and assigns forever all my estate right title interest and demand of in and unto one tenement or cottage with a garden and rentery adjoining called Ruffles and one piece of land with the appurtenances late parcel of Barnehaws containing by estimation 2r and lying at the west end of the said cottage as it is enclosed in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal 30.12.15Chas1 sealed and delivered in the presence of Jn Joscelyne Wm Yorse
