at this court it is shown by the homage that Rich Warde who held for himself and his heirs one croft of land called Kings as by a roll of court bearing the date 1.2.1615 it appears after the last court died thus seised thereof and that Jn Warde is his son and heir and of full age who present in court humbly sought admittance to the premises to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid croft of land with appurtenances to the aforesaid Jn Warde his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and accustomed and he made fine and fealty
