whereas at a court here held 17.2.1648 it was shown by the homage that Rich Burton who held for himself and his heirs one tenement called Burtons Tenement with appurtenances died thus seised thereof and that Jas Burton is his son and heir now to this court came the aforesaid Jas by Jn Potter (may be Jn Potter) his attorney and sought admittance to whom by the hands of the said Jn Potter (may be Jn Potter) his uncle and his attorney the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid tenement with appurtenances to the aforesaid Jas Burton his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs and he gave to the lord for a fine and because the aforesaid Jas is under age viz 4yrs or thereabouts therefore custody of his body and the aforesaid tenement was committed to Sarah Burton his mother until his full age etc
