and at this court the said Jn Morley and Mary his wife the said Jn Sarjeant and Bridget his wife did come in their own persons and the said Mary and Bridget being first by the said steward solely secretly and severally examined as the manner is and consenting they the said Jn Morley Mary his wife Jn Sarjeant and Bridget his wife did in open court surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of his said steward all their several fifth parts and purparties and all their and every of their estate and interest of and in the said lands tenements and premises with the appurtenances to the use of the said Ralph Josselin and of his heirs and assigns forever who being present in court did desire to be admitted tenant to the said three several fifth parts of the said premises so surrendered to his use as aforesaid to whom the lord of the said manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said three several fifth parts of the premises with the appurtenances to the said Ralph Josselin his heirs and assigns forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs due etc and he gave to the lord for his fine and so was admitted tenant
