were admitted tenants to them and their heirs to one parcel of land called
Kings Garden
with the appurtenances now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said
Frances King
since the last court that is to say on
29.6.1658
did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of
Thos Trotter
instead of the bailiff and in the presence of
Rich Bridge
and
Geo Clarke
two customary tenants of the said manor the same witnessing all her moiety of the said parcel of land with the appurtenances to the use of
Robt Knight
of Colchester saymaker and of his heirs and assigns forever who being present in court did desire to be admitted tenant to the same to whom the lord of the said manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said moiety of the said parcel of land with the appurtenances to the said
Robt
his heirs and assigns forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs due and he gave to the lord for his fine etc |
