whereas at a court held for the said manor 4.11.1657 it was presented by the homage that Margt Turnor who held to her and her heirs one messuage or tenement lately built called Perries situate upon Colneford Hill since the then last court died thereof so seised and that Edm Turnor son and heir of Edm Turnor deceased brother of the said Margt was her cousin and heir the said homage being then informed that Jn Turnor elder brother of the said Edm Turnor the son was dead whereas in truth he was then a soldier in France and is yet living and present in court now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said Jn Turnor is cousin and heir to the said Margt that is to said eldest son of the said Edm Turnor deceased brother of the said Margt and thereupon the said Jn Turnor desired to be admitted tenant to the said premises to whom the lord of the said manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said messuage with the appurtenances to the said Jn Turnor his heirs and assigns forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services due and he gave to the lord for his fine and the said lord did restore the said Edm his fine paid upon his admission to the premises
