Rich Hatch to 1a of land parcel of Higgens | whereas at a court here held 28.12.17Chas1 Rich Hayward took for himself and his heirs one messuage one garden and 1a of land more or less called Higgens lying in Holstreete held among other services by the annual rent of 2s3d per annum now to this court came the aforesaid Rich and by the rod surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of his aforesaid steward the aforesaid 1a of land more or less with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Rich Hatch of Earls Colne butcher and his heirs and assigns forever to whom the same said Rich Hatch present here in court and seeking the same the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid 1a of land with appurtenances to the aforesaid Rich Hatch his heirs and assigns forever from the lord by the rod at the will of he lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rent of 21d per annum a proportion of the aforesaid annual rent of 2s3d both by the agreement of the lord of the aforesaid manor and by the agreement of the said Rich Hayward and Rich Hatch apportioned and by all other services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine and made fealty |
