Wm Hatch and wife | it is shown by the homage that Jas Burton who held for himself and his heirs by copy of a court roll bearing the date 2.11.1658 one customary tenement with garden adjoining called Muggs also Princes situated in Colne St between a tenement called The George on the east and tenement sometime of Barth Church on the west after the last court viz 1.7.last surrendered the premises into the hands of the lord by the hands of Giles Crow bailiff of the lord in the presence of Robt Finch and Robt Crow two customary tenants the same testifying etc to the use of Wm Hatch his heirs and assigns forever who the same said present here in court humbly sought from the lord admittance to the premises as tenant to whom the lord by the aforesaid steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold the aforesaid tenement with appurtenances to the aforesaid Wm Hatch his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine etc |
