admittance of Robt Smith and Margt his wife | at this court the lord of this manor for a resumption and increase of the ancient rents and services granted out of his hands by the aforesaid steward one cottage or tenement with a garden called Prills now in the occupation of Sarah Owers widow to Robt Smith and Margt his wife and their heirs and delivered seisin by the rod of the premises to them to have and to hold the aforesaid cottage with appurtenances to the aforesaid Robt Smith and Margt his wife their heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the annual rent of 2s fealty suit of court and other services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed upon the following condition viz that the aforesaid Robt Smith and Margt his wife and their heirs as their proper obligation within three months now next following should erect an adequate fence with pales 5ft long thus enclosing their aforesaid tenement against the lands of the lord of this manor and from time to time they should repair the same said fence and they gave to the lord for a fine etc |
