at this court it appeared that Jn Newton 23.3.last surrendered by the hands of Solomon Grimston gentleman deputy steward all that tenement and certain lands belonging called Seven Acres in Earls Colne in the tenure of Jn Cook or his assigns to the use of the said Jn and his heirs until the marriage between the said Jn and Hannah Bridge spinster is solemnised and after the solemnisation to the use of the said Jn for life and after his death to the use of the said Hannah for her life and after their deaths to the use of the heirs of the body of the said Hannah by the said Jn legitimately procreated and for defect of issue to the use of the right heirs of the said Jn forever which marriage has been solemnised now at this court came the said Jn in person and the said Hannah by the said Jn and were admitted etc and gave fine etc
