also lastly it appeared that Jn Last junior on 8.2.last surrendered by the hands of Geo Brooke gentleman instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Pratt and Sam Christmas all that messuage or tenement called Muggs and a yard parcel of Thredgolds and the buildings thereon in Earls Colne within the manor and then in the tenure of Sam Shelly or his assigns and all other messuages or tenements held by the said Jn by copy to the use of Jn Last son of Jn late of Halstead and now of Earls Colne saymaker his heirs and assigns forever and because none came to be admitted therefore first proclamation was made etc
