also at this court it appeared that 10.12.1726 Nich Jekyll esq surrendered by the hands of Solomon Grimston gentleman deputy steward a customary messuage in Castle Hedingham parcel of the mansion house of the said Nich and 1r of land lying between a croft called Brasiers and a garden formerly of the earls of Oxford to the use of Jn Ray of Hedingham Castle clothier who was admitted etc and gave fine etc
