also found that on 17.10.1733 Edw Frith surrendered by the hands of mr Solomon Grimston deputy steward all his copyhold messuage or tenement called Dedmans and 50a of land belonging in Earls Colne in the tenure of Jn Cooke or his assigns to the use of Thos Sewell of Earls Colne gentleman upon condition that if the said Edw Frith shall at all times hereafter indemnify and keep harmless the said Thos his heirs etc of and from all charges and expenses which he or they may be put to by reason of the said Sewell's payment of a legacy of 100li unto him the said Edw Frith given unto him by the last will of Edw Johnson deceased whereof the said Thos is one of the executors the legacy being given to put him out apprentice and the residue to be paid him when he had served his apprenticeship which he did not then this surrender to be void otherwise to be in force
