at this court came Joseph Finch and surrendered all that 1a of copyhold land situate in the manor of Colne Priory part of a field or parcel of land called Millfield as it was sometime divided lying between the lands sometime of Edw Alliston clothier being parcel of the said Millfield towards the east and the other part of the said Millfield sometime in the tenure of Barth Haywood towards the west with appurtenances unto which said 1a of land the said Joseph Finch was admitted as grandson and heir of Edw Finch deceased at a court held 15.8.1743 and the reversions etc to the use of Walt Hart clerk and his successors vicars of the vicarage of Gosfield Essex forever for a perpetual augmentation of the said vicarage whereupon came the said Walt by Geo Brooke gentleman his attorney and was admitted etc to hold by the annual rent of 18d etc and he gave fine etc but his fealty is respited
