also at this court found that Thos Hales on 27.10.last surrendered by the hands of Rich Wale gentleman steward all that field called Middlefield abutting south on a field of Jn Newton's of Earls Colne gentleman and all that field called Longfield also abutting south on a field of the said Jn Newton's and all that croft adjoining to the said field called Middlefield and abutting north on a chaseway and all those two closes of land one commonly called The Greatfield the other called The Fenn all which said premises contain together 16a more or less being parcel of the land called Broomfields now in the tenure of the said Thos Hales and held by copy to the use of Jn Leaper of Earls Colne redeemable upon payment of 125li with lawful interest unto the said Jn Leaper his executors etc on 28.4.next
