and at this court the lord by his steward granted out of his hands to Thos White and Wm White son their heirs and assigns one customary tenement with appurtenances called Clarks with 30a of land more or less lying in Earls Colne abutting upon The Heth pertaining to the said tenement to whom there is free seisin by the rod to hold to the same said Thos and Wm their heirs and assigns at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by returning to the lord and his successors per annum 27s for the rent to be paid at the usual terms for this manor in equal portions and the said Thos and Wm their heirs and assigns are to look after well and sufficiently the repairs of the said tenements with their appropriate expenses with the lord's timbering in their possession with the lord's agreement and they gave to the lord for a fine and made fealty
