whereas at a view with court here held the monday after the feast of the holy trinity 4Edw6 2.6.1550 there was the admission of a certain Ann Ashefeld widow sister and heir of Jn Wingfeld gentleman deceased to one croft of land called Tredgolds also Glasiers and to one parcel of land lying on the western edge of Brokhole which was respited because a certain Wm Estaye showed in this court to the lord of this manor a certain bill of petition for the title of the said land with appurtenances who the same said Wm afterward by the lord's judgement upon the said bill recovered half of the said land and upon this now to this court came the said Ann and sought admittance to the other half of the said croft of land called Tredgolds also Glasiers and to half of the said parcel of land lying on the east of Brokhoole and because no cause or impediment was shown to the contrary in the court that the said Ann should now be admitted to the said half therefore she was admitted thereof tenant of the lord to whom by the steward the lord delivered thereof seisin to hold for herself her heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod etc and she gave etc
fine 4s and made etc and upon this into this same present court came the aforesaid Ann Ashefeld and surrendered into the hands of the lord the said half croft and the said land with this intention namely that the lord thus seised thereof should regrant the said half croft and the said land to the aforesaid Ann during the whole term of her life the remainder thereof after her decease to Wm Ashefeld her son and his heirs and the lord by virtue of the said surrender thus seised of the premises at this same present court by his steward regranted out of his hands the said half of the said land to the aforesaid Ann and her assigns during the whole term of her life from the lord etc the remainder thereof after her decease to the aforesaid Wm and his heirs to whom the same said Ann by the steward the lord delivered thereof seisin to hold for herself and her assigns during the whole term of her life from the lord by the rod etc the remainder thereof as above stated and made fealty to the lord
